Ikea Ögon is a mobile app for the blind and visually impaired.
In the app you can sign up as a blind or visually impaired person or as a volunteer to help them. Anyone can be a volunteer, you simply fill in your name and e-mailadres and create an account.
You are now part of a growing community of ikea eugon, you can now be called from any time by someone who needs help shopping in our stores or need help with some daily tasks at home.
They can ask questions such as where the right size of a bedsheet is or to guide them to the right department. This will make shopping in these times of pandemic way more accessible for them, because blind people can’t follow the lines and arrows you are supposed to follow in stores also there are fewer people shopping at our store to ask for help.

Ikea’s vision has always been to create better everyday lives for the many people. In this time of pandemic, this is more important than ever because almost everything is digitized, we are working from home, working out from home and even socializing from home.
I wanted to create an environment where everyone can participate in society as much as anyone else.

Fill in the color radar

You can also fill in the color palette for the color radar, here you can describe each color by using your senses. Based on the descriptions volunteers fill in, there is created a color radar that can detect any color when you point your camera at an object. Then it describes the color, the way the volunteers filled in.
